ABOUT US

HOWDY!

We are DisasterIQ, a team comprised of diverse engineering students from Texas A&M University. DisasterIQ is the product of our project titled "Big Data Analytics Solutions for Smart and Resilient Urban Infrastructure Systems" for the AggiE-Challenge program. This project addresses the grand challenge related to "restoring and improving urban infrastructure" as identified by the National Academy of Engineering. Our goals for this project include: data-driven vulnerability assessment in urban infrastructure systems, as well as improving quality of life by incorporating resilient thinking in infrastructure planning and management.

AggiE_Challenge is designed to engage engineering undergraduate students with multidisciplinary team research projects related to engineering challenges facing our society. The grand challenges include the 14 Grand Challenges for Engineering (National Academy of Engineering), the 14 Grand Challenges for Global Health (Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation) and Engineering World Health: Projects That Matter
